“And sometimes you sit in front of an animal with eyes that melt, so delicate and so human, it almost scares you, because it’s impossible to believe that there isn’t a soul in them”.
Acrylic painting with palette knife, brush, sponge, fingers and much more.
A beautiful woman surrounded by a monkey, elephant, parrot, hummingbirds and butterflies.
Animals are our closest relatives on this planet and it has often been shown that human friends are also the best animal friends. Pets are often the best soul comforters and also a good remedy against loneliness and boredom. But animals do not only have the purpose of being useful to humans, they also have their own needs and an often highly complex personality that needs to be shown respect. And yet the animal world does not necessarily speak the language of humans. If you get an animal, you should also learn to speak the language of animals. The simple saying: “A cat is just untrainable” should never apply, rather it is necessary to fathom why an animal behaves in a way that suits the needs of such a new friend and to understand why the animal world tends to sometimes assert itself in ways that sometimes do not excite humans at all.
A firework of colours. I can never really predict where the paint will actually fall on the canvas. My painting is partly based on chance. The end result is always something I could never have foreseen.
